Tempe Elementary School District’s TIE Foundation Honors Act One
The TIE Foundation from Tempe Elementary School District awarded Act One with the Ralph & Carla Lingerfelt Commitment to Community Award on May 4, 2019, at their Education Awards Dinner. The Lingerfelt award is given to an organization or individual who has made a major contribution to the community with a heavy emphasis affecting the boys and girls in the district’s schools and community.
Act One brought more than 2,200 Tempe Elementary School District students on educational arts field trips in the 2018-19 school year. “Thanks to this amazing organization, our students will be able to participate in meaningful arts experiences that will enhance their academic and creative potential,” said the awards committee. “In strategic focus, program implementation and scale, there is nothing else like it in Arizona, perhaps in the country.”
