October Culture Pass Hot Tickets In Metro Phoenix

As the fall weather descends in Arizona, the Culture Pass gets into full swing as arts organizations embark on a new season. Many of the museums underwent updates over the summer, while others have new exhibitions opening. Here are a few highlights:

Metro Phoenix

  1. From the desert climate of Cave Creek and the Carefree foothills area to the intricate artistry of Japanese gardens, you can nearly travel across the globe with a Culture Pass. This October, the Cave Creek Museum and the Japanese Friendship Garden have opened their doors for the new season after being closed for the summer.
  2. Fashionistas, unite! The most current in ultracontemporary clothing design and culture by the likes of Gucci, Comme des Garçons, Yeohlee, Iris van Herpen and others will be on display beginning October 27 at the Phoenix Art Museum.
  3. What do Henri Matisse and Inuit art and culture have in common? The Heard Museum sheds light on the surprising and little-known story of how Inuit people and culture inspired one of the 20th century’s most influential artists in a new exhibit. Of note are Matisse’s largely unknown but striking black-and-white portraits of Inuit people that were inspired, in part, by a group of Yup’ik (Native Alaskan) masks collected by his son-in-law.
