Students will experience CARMEN.maquia, a bold reimagining of Bizet’s classic opera Carmen, choreographed by Gustavo Ramírez Sansano. This full-length ballet combines powerful storytelling with explosive, contemporary movement that brings new life to the timeless tale.

Ballet Hispánico, founded in 1970, is the nation’s largest Latinx cultural organization and a world-class dance company. For over 50 years, the company has celebrated Latinx cultures through innovative performances, professional training, and community engagement.

Alongside its performances, Ballet Hispánico is recognized for its strong commitment to arts education, reaching thousands of students annually through its dance school, residencies, and outreach programs. Students will not only see an exciting performance but also gain insight into how dance can reflect culture, history, and identity.
