Intro to American West – Tour

Grades 3 – 6, 60 attendee maximum

Visiting students explore the history and stories of the Greater Western region in a manner designed to engage the senses, the mind, and the imagination. Within each exhibition space, students participate in creative activities that support school curriculum and provide historical and cultural context. While in the exhibits, students are encouraged to analyze artwork and synthesize their museum experience through meaningful, hands-on learning activities, allowing for personal growth and creative expression. Such activities include engagement with hundreds of historic artworks, Old West saddles and spurs, Native American artifacts, multimedia kiosks, and educational activities and games.
