Our matinee holiday ballet performance allows audiences to watch 120 dancers, ages 7-18, bring an original holiday ballet to life right before their eyes in the beautiful Madison Theater in Phoenix. Due to time restraints, only the first Act will be performed, followed by a Q & A session with the ballet leads. The story’s synopsis is below:
For centuries, Santa and his elves lived in a great workshop at the North Pole using Santa’s magic to work together in harmony, making toys and bringing holiday cheer to the children they loved. The elves were a wealth of creativity, but one day when they brought their latest experiment, a way to amplify Santa’s magic, in for his approval, he forbade them from continuing as he knew no being should be that powerful. He banished the elves from the North Pole, but Santa couldn’t know they took the magic of his young daughter, Nikki, with them. Come with DanceMotion on a magical ballet journey as Nikki and her best friend, Merry the Moose, search for a place they can belong but discover instead that the greatest magic lies not in power, but in forgiveness and love.
