Juliet Martin

Vice President of Strategies and Programs

Juliet joined Act One in August 2015 and oversees all programs, strategic communications and operations. She has worked in the nonprofit sector for most of her career, including at the Heard Museum, American Red Cross, Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust and Arizona School Boards Association.

Arts Influences: Juliet’s first experience with the arts was in preschool when they brought instruments for the toddlers to try. Juliet was the only one who was able to get a note out of the clarinet. She later played clarinet and bass clarinet in school, earning a Regents Music Scholarship to ASU, where she played bass clarinet in the symphonic band for 4 1/2 years. She also was on the ASU Sun Devil Marching Band flag line for three years.

Field Trip Memories: Juliet recalls going on a  field trip to the Phoenix Art Museum when they had elaborately decorated Christmas trees on display. Lunch followed at Encanto Park.
