Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum is a five-gallery museum at Mesa Arts Center featuring changing exhibitions by emerging and internationally recognized artists. A tour at MCA will provide students with a rich arts experience designed to develop critical and creative thinking in understanding contemporary issues, context and intended meanings. Through collaborative conversations students are encouraged to express personal viewpoints and respond to individual artworks. Tours connect to State Standards in areas like Math, Social Studies and Language Arts as well as the four basic concepts expressed in the Academic Standards in the Arts: Creating, Performing/Presenting/Producing, Responding and Connecting.
