Expedition Sonoran Desert: Spectacular Saguaro

Spectacular Saguaro is an exciting two-part STEAM experiential mini-unit. It includes an in-classroom lesson and a field trip to reinforce the students’ learning. During the in-class lesson Conservancy volunteers help students uncover the adaptations and life cycle of the saguaro. Students will then visit the McDowell Sonoran Preserve to investigate the saguaro as an important part of the ecosystem and the interrelationships that occur, concluding with a play.

After scheduling your field trip with Act One, the Conservancy will be in contact to schedule the in-class lesson. The in-class lesson dates and times are flexible but should take place prior to the field trip date.
