The Great Migration: Indiscernibles in Arizona
There is a long history of Black migration to the Arizona territory. It dates as far back as the Spanish expeditions of the 1500s, through the years of The Great Migration, and into the present day. This exhibit explores shared threads of experience surrounding the migration of African Americans to Arizona. It provides a glimpse into the lives of ordinary Black Arizonans. It celebrates the survival of the ancestors and the establishment of enduring and thriving communities in the Valley.
