Symphony for the Schools #2: 250 Years and Counting – 11:45 AM
75 N 2nd St
Presented by The Phoenix Symphony
This program is a celebration of Beethoven’s music through an exploration of the experiences in his life and career that led to his troubled but prolific height of artistry. Audience members will explore the things that made Beethoven himself so remarkable, and discover how we can all grow as individuals, feel and show empathy for others and build positive relationships in our schools and communities.
Students can be directly involved in the program by participating in The Phoenix Symphony and Young Arts Arizona’s 2020 edition of Paint to Music. While listening to the fourth movement of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6 in class or at home, students will create a work of art that reflects the experience to be displayed at Symphony Hall during a live performance of the piece at 250 Years and Counting.
