The Firebird – This ballet tells the classic story based on a Russian fairytale, with a singularly original twist. The Firebird explores themes of love, fantasy, and escapism, making it perfectly in tune with Stravinsky’s modern score.

La Sylphide – The most iconic of the romantic ballets, this tale of passion and elusive love features an alluring fairy and a diabolical witch who wreak havoc on the life of a young Scotsman, James, who gives up everything for the love of a beautiful, but unattainable woodland sprite.

Students will be able to watch one act of this program and will have the opportunity to talk with and hear from some of the dancers after the show.
